John the Baptist can seem much different than us. But this animal skin wearing, locust and honey eating wilderness man, may be more like us than we knew. He was the one who prepared the way for Jesus, the one who had a message of repentance, he was also the one who had doubts and voiced questions. John the Baptist was a witness and always pointed people to Jesus. We have a lot to learn from him.
